You really need to be familiar with the story, characters, plots, and vocabulary to enjoy this Harry Potter Blu-ray DVD set. The last movie in the series, The Deathly Hallows part 2 brings the fight between good and evil, light and dark, Harry Potter and Voldemort to a close. The story is very well told and makes for a solid two hours worth of entertainment.
Harry Potter and the evil Voldemort are headed for the last showdown. If he is to kill him, Potter must find and destroy the seven items in which his nemesis has put part of his essence. The forces of good end up taking Hogwarts and the forces of evil are outside the gates planning an attack. Potter, Hermione, and Ron also try to find an elder wand, an immortality stone, and the invisibility cloak that together form the Deathly Hallows, the three elements that make you the master of death.
Before he can try to defeat Voldemort, Harry Potter must learn more about himself and other important characters in J.K Rowling’s story such as Dumbledore’s lesser side and Snape’s true nature as well as a few other things.
The one weak point is one common to others in the series: there are too many scenes filmed in dark environments so you cannot enjoy all the details.
The movie brings things to a close though it should not take too long for some studio exec to find some prequel sequel remake to do.
Special features for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 include Maximum Movie Mode with behind the scenes information, A Conversation with J.K. Rowling and Daniel Radcliffe, and short features such as The Goblins of Gringotts, The Women of Harry Potter (in which Rowling discusses the portrayal of women and how hers are strong characters), Additional scenes, and Warner Bros. Studios London Tour.
